Initially Letting in the Light worked throughout the hospital community engaging participants (from cleaners, and doctors to patients) in participatory art workshops.

We took people on Journeys to their favourite places, from a nice cup of tea and a fag to diving in the Med.  The final artwork a series of seven foot high, backlit digital prints, depict the hearts of flowers, in the flowers raindrops are caught and in the raindrops magnificent landscapes from around the area. 

This works to entice the viewer, to shift perceptions, to allow the minute to be grand and the grand minute, but above all it takes the viewer beyond the confines of the hospital walls and allows them to imagine their own favourite places in the raindrops on the windowpane.
